How to connect your account and add pages?

This article explains step-by-step how to connect your Facebook profile to CommentGuard and then add your Facebook pages & Instagram Business Accounts.

First off, click on "Login with Facebook".

Make sure that the Facebook profile you're connecting has access to all the Facebook pages & Instagram Business Account you want to use with CommentGuard, otherwise you will not be able to grant the required permissions to our app.

Click on "Continue" to grant our app the required permissions.

Do not edit the set of the requested permissions (all are needed for our app to function and without these it won't work). Don't worry, we're fully approved by Meta to request these app permissions.

Now click on the "Add new page" dropdown menu to add pages and then on a page you'd like to manage with CommentGuard.

Note that CommentGuard only processes new comments from the moment you add a Facebook or Instagram page to your account (not comments received before that moment).

Repeat this step to add more pages to CommentGuard.

When you've added your pages, click on "Menu" in the navigation bar and then "Dashboard" to go to our overall dashboard view.

Use the "Dashboard" dropdown menu to select one of your connected Facebook or Instagram pages.

Now you can go ahead and setup your moderation settings for this page by clicking on "Moderation". Check out our article on setting up automated moderation for further instructions.
