How to setup agents that can draft and send AI replies?

CommentGuard Agents can use AI to speed up or fully automate the process of replying to comments.

Your agent can detect if a comment needs a reply, draft a reply based on your custom knowledge and instructions and even automatically send it with a random delay for a more human-like feel.

How to setup AI agents:

Go to the Agents menu in your account settings.
Click on "Create agent".
Give your Agent a descriptive name.
Assign one or multiple pages to your agent. For example: add both your Facebook and Instagram page to the same agent so they can share the custom knowledge & system instructions.
We've added default instructions for your agent, but feel free to input custom instructions that you want the AI agent to take into account when generating responses. Note that instructions are about the persona, communication style, tone-of-voice, etc. but not about which comments it should or should not reply to (we have different settings for that).
Input custom knowledge, for example frequently asked questions & answers (it's recommended to create a document with all this info so you can easily copy-paste it in the knowledge input box).
By default our AI uses the following simple prompt to detect if a comments needs a reply: "Does the following comment need a reply?" It's recommended to use this prompt, but you can customize it.
Click Save to complete the setup.

Now your agent is setup and the information will be used to detect if comments need a reply (and label them) and when you click on "Generate" when replying to comments to generate AI draft replies.

Note: If AI comments are not working, make sure you have assigned a page to your agent. You can link pages from the Pages dropdown in the Agent settings.

Then at the bottom you'll see the playground feature where you can enter test comments and process these to see what the AI response would be based on your instructions and available knowledge.

It's highly recommended to use this playground or manually generate AI comments for some time before enabling automated AI replies. This way you can tweak the knowledge and instructions and build the trust that the AI will reply accurately to your customer's questions.

AI auto-drafts

When you agent is setup you can enable the auto-draft option to generate draft replies.

Choose if you want the agent to draft replies only for visible comments that need a reply, to all visible comments or to all comments (both hidden and visible). The recommended use, especially when you're new to AI replies and haven't perfected your AI knowledge & instructions yet is to draft replies only to comments that need a reply.
Choose the comments it should not draft a reply for: comments that contain just a mention, comments that contain just an emoji, threaded comments (so it only drafts replies to top-level comments), or comments that contain specific keywords.
Choose if you want to start every reply with a @mention or not.
Choose a specific tone of voice for your replies.
Choose if you want to draft replies to comments on posts, ads, or both.

When a new comment is received, the agent will process it and draft a reply. You will see this reply in your dashboard and can make edits before sending it.

If a comment contains a question the agent can't answer, it will show that it doesn't have enough knowledge to generate a reply.

You can then answer this question manually and after replying you can click on the FAQ icon to add this answer to the custom knowledge the agent can use the next time a similar question is asked.

AI auto-replies

When your agent is setup you can enable the auto-reply option to fully automate replies.

Choose if you want the agent to reply only to visible comments that need a reply, to all visible comments or to all comments (both hidden and visible). The recommended use, especially when you're new to AI replies and haven't perfected your AI knowledge & instructions yet is to reply only to comments that need a reply.
Choose if you want to start every reply with a @mention or not.
Choose a specific tone of voice for your replies.
Choose if you want to auto-reply to comments on posts, ads, or both.
Choose if you want to send the replies with a delay (this is recommended to make them feel less automated). When enabling this option you can choose to send them with a random delay of up to 10 minutes or you can set a fixed delay of X minutes.

Now when you receive a comment on a page for which you've setup the agent, the following will happen: it will detect if the comment needs a reply, formulate a response based on your custom knowledge and instructions and finally it will automatically send that reply to the comment.

Note: Our AI agent will always reply in the language of the comment it responds to. If if replies to an English comment it will do so in English. If it replies to a German comment it will reply in German.
